Antibody Screening and Design

Reported by Gemini Smith | February 25th, 2024 @ 10:06 PM

In the process of finding antibodies, computational methods provide a highly controlled parallel screening of several biophysical features. Because the sequence and structure of the cognate antibody are unknown, antibody structural modeling is crucial to computational antibody design. Because antibody structures have highly conserved frameworks, template-based approaches are typically used to predict antibody structures. Furthermore, most techniques adhere to a similar pipeline process.

Many techniques have been established to date for antibody design based on high-throughput. ABodyBuilder and PEARS are two commonly used techniques for single amino acid mutation and antibody structure modeling. In particular, the expected model correctness might be annotated by ABodyBuilder. The goal is to further the development of high-throughput antibody design and screening.
